- To provide a hosted discussion forum for individuals, teachers’ groups and training course participants to reflect on the different and evolving aspects of ‘NT/NNT’ perspectives and to exchange personal views and experiences.
- The longer term aim is to use these experiences and viewpoints to explore ways in which the wider world (employers, parents, company managers, school principals) can be helped to understand and appreciate the importance of appropriate training rather than that of nationality.
The site has arisen partly out of the interest generated by the many discussion points included in the April 2017 publication of Péter Medgyes’ updated ‘The Non-Native Teacher’ and also raised in other publications.
The points raised here and elsewhere can be used as a stimulus for live discussion within teachers’ groups and on courses, and then fed back onto the site for wider dissemination and debate.
The site contains two main sections and directions, each of which can be subdivided further.
